Executive Summary

This new build in Hammersmith, London was commissioned as a meeting house. The Architects chosen to design the building was London based practise, Satellite Architects. Their client’s brief was to “create a new sustainable landmark building for their worship”, and they achieved this by using curved forms and infusing the internal spaces with light.

The contractor nominated to deliver the place of worship was Syntec Project Ltd. In turn, Thermohouse was selected to supply and install the structure. 

Located on a tight site and surrounded by terraces of Victorian houses, this was a challenging project in terms of access. Thermohouse utilised their Thermowall system to construct all external and internal walls, including the large radius of the central form.

The flat roof sections were built using their Thermoroof panels, and in the areas where a concrete deck was specified, their Thermofloor 210mm panels have been utilised.

Currently, the insulated roof panels are in place and the final concrete pour is scheduled for the second week in November.
